So hey guys, first post :D I made a pretty sick gamebook with quest, but I was wondering if it's possible to make the game playable without any quest software? I currently have the windows version installed, and I plan on uploading now my game for money on steam. Any help? :?:
It's a gamebook.

The only way to create an Exe I know is by creating a html-version of your game with Quest-JS (http://questjs.azurewebsites.net/compile) and then use an external tool like HTMLExe (http://www.htmlexe.com) to create an exe. But as I know Quest-JS is not really tested with gamebooks and at the moment its not possible to click links in created html-gamebooks

Stand by for a proper announcement, but basically QuestJS is deprecated at this point - I'm not planning to improve it or fix anything. Instead, I'm actually working on a proper JavaScript runtime for Quest games, which will become the way that all Quest games work - the browser will load and run the .aslx or .quest file natively and do all the work there. That means wrapping it up into an app or putting it on Steam or whatever will become much easier.

Is there a best case ETA and a worst case ETA? Or is too far off in development to tell when that may be? Would the code work already be on GitHub by any chance?
