Quest games which make significant / integral use of media…

ithinkitsnice
Hi,

I'm possibly interested in using quest to create something quite media rich, so I'm wondering if anyone can point me to examples of Quest games which make significant use of media (image, sound, video)?

Examples don't have to feature everything, I'd even be interested in games which make significant use of one or another media type, especially if integral to the game.

I am having a trawl through the archive myself, but any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Scratch video. I tried to get it to work using html5 (which the offline browser currently doesn't support but should in the next update) and couldn't get it to work. Which leaves you with linking to youtube videos which, to me at least, would grate as you'd get the console too rather than a clean autoplay sequence and you're reliant on internet speeds.

Both audio and images can be done. My game contains both but won't be ready for months unfortunately. I have seen both used. First Times uses audio, but not seamlessly. I did see a game with great images but it was a beta and it vanished into the sandpit.
I'd never make media integral to the game though. At the end of the day, this is interactive fiction so people expect words. Media can jazz it up but not to make it unplayable without those elements, imo.

This uses images quite well:

This utilises media but to the loss of narrative, in my view:

http://media.textadventures.co.uk/games ... Final.html

Not sure if that was done with Quest.

And First Times is an example of Audio:

Thanks, the idea I have might not be trad interactive fiction, but something I could nonetheless create in Quest. It's just speculative at the moment.
